| Hutchinson Engineering is a second-generation family-run business that is a subcontract manufacturer for some of the world’s best-known companies in the materials handling, coachbuilding, and agricultural sectors. These include Caterpillar, Terex, and McLaren. Our main services include laser cutting, folding, and fabrication. Operating from a state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. ft. production facility in Kilrea, Northern Ireland, Hutchinson Engineering offers customers operating in the agriculture, construction, energy, material handling, medical, recycling and transport sectors the complete engineering solution. Hutchinson Engineering (SJC Hutchinson Engineering) was founded 50 years ago in 1971 by Creighton Hutchinson from his father’s back yard in Kilrea, using sheds belonging to the family farm. Mainly agricultural engineering, Creighton soon built-up a solid customer base, a lot of his work was repairing farming machinery and Creighton also manufactured a wide range of items including cubicles and silage barriers to ornamental gates, railings and even swings and slides. With over 50 years of experience working with clients within the agriculture sector, we understand the challenges of a seasonal market. Often our clients spend all winter ramping up production and all summer selling the stock they have made, we are able to balance the peaks and troughs of the demand due to the wide variety of industries we serve, in turn enabling us to offer the all-important value the Agri sector demands. With a world class facility of over 80,000sq ft, a team of over 100 and best in class laser equipment, Hutchinson engineering can offer expert advice, speed of response and flexibility. Our scope of products ranges from laser cut box section, to complex fully fabricated and finished machinery including shear grabs, bale handlers, and seed drills.
