Agriculture has been a major economic force in ASEAN, contributing 8% of GDP in Thailand, 23 % of GDP in Cambodia and Myanmar, 15 % of GDP in Vietnam and 14 % of GDP in Indonesia. 

Agriculture is a key contributor to economic development and employment across ASEAN. Governments across the region have been investing in smart farming or Agritech to uplift farm productivity and build onshore food security.

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated Agritech adoption as export restrictions and global lockdowns affected the global food supply chain.

This event is open to all UK Companies active in the Agritech Sector, which includes Aqua-Tech, Horticulture, Equine and Companion Pets.

Objectives:

Through this Agritech Regional Event, we aim to host two webinars to cater the varying stakeholders. A Country overview where a panel of country stakeholders will be sharing about current agriculture practises in respective country and the desired development (sector vision) in the next 5 years.
